Cute Product but several issues with it's assemble

Was a cute project but had a few issues with assemble. Directions were clear but when assembled the connections for the arm to move were very tight to the point it barely moved with out help. Did not explain how to use it to launch cows. Did not show the way you are to string the launching mechanism to use. Used a large amount of material for little more use than a paper weight for your desk.

I plan to use this as a reversenginning project for my students and then they are to improve the design for better stability and use. I uploaded an improved design that uses dowel rods for pivot joints and a box design to improve the ability to change the weight of the the counter ballast for the arm.
