Hello Summer With Fireflies Door Hanger

I've made 2 of these and they're really nice. Cuts very clean, easy to paint, and looks great! I used acrylic paint for the background- with a brush, and paint pens for the fireflies & words. Haven't used the clear acrylic option for the jar, but it's a nice option to have. The only thing I would have wished is a hole to hang it up. I did add it.... not entirely in the right place as you can see with its tilted wording, but I can still fix it. It was very fun to do!

I didn’t like how the three fireflies at the top had the wings on top of the body. The fireflies in the jar were composed of three parts that fit together which made a lot more sense to me. I ended up printing three more fireflies like the ones in the jar. I am also confused about the circles of light. In the picture it looks like the circles were painted and put back in place. This could have been accomplished by just scoring the circles on the wood. Instead, I left the circles out and painted the wood below to add more dimension. The instructions also left a lot to be desired. They didn’t even mention the acrylic jar piece. All of this being said, I was very happy with the results after my modifications.
