This is a jig for making your own earring hooks out of wire. This laser cut ear wire jig produces 10 earring hooks at a time, with a loop that fits 1/8" material! If you cut a lot of earrings with your Glowforge, this jig will eliminate your need for jump rings! That's right, NO MORE JUMP RINGS!! You will need wire that is 20-21 gauge thick, and 1/4" acrylic to cut the jig out of.

    nice start - not a finished design

    Even with the suggested 3 passes, the engraving didn't go deep enough for wire to catch. It looks like it will work well once I figure out settings and passes.

    Also, the edges do get a bit melty and will leave scratches/marring on softer metals, so cleanup is necessary.
